Tempted. Temptation. All those holiday treats waiting to be finished, yes. But this is something stronger. I am tempted to leave all the decorations exactly where they are right now—ready for next year. The green and red ornaments, the ribbons and bows, the paper snowflakes covering the dining room table, the lopsided gingerbread house and even the tree. The thought of untangling the lights from the tree, just to untangle them from the box next December makes me shudder. Besides with just bit of green spray paint, the tree will look like new.
